Give a warm welcome to Penelope. Sweet Penelope’s life took an unexpected turn after a back injury required lumbar surgery, but this resilient youngster is making progress every day.
With the help of her dedicated foster family, Penelope is getting the care she needs, including physical therapy. She has already progressed from only being able to lie down to standing for meals, and with the support of a sling, she is working toward walking on her own.
Through it all, Penelope’s friendly personality shines. She loves grabbing a toy on the way out for potty breaks, seeks out attention, and is always ready to play with other pups. She is also a foodie who will happily let you know when it is mealtime. At night, she settles into her crate and sleeps quietly through the night.
Penelope is a little fighter with a heart of gold, and when the time is right, she’ll be looking for a loving forever home ready to cheer her on every step of the way.

👍🏻 Weight: 21 lbs. Needs to lose 2-3 lbs.
🐾 Circumstances: Owner surrender.
❤️ Health: Penelope is in good health. She will need to be spayed.
CRF microchips all rescues.

🏡 Forever Home Requirements:
✔️ A home where companionship is available most of the day.
✔️ Willingness to commit to ongoing physical therapy as well as annual check ups with a neurologist.
✔️Another furry friend would be ideal.
