Emily & Reneé

TBA

We’ve seen neglect before. But this… stopped us.

Renée came into rescue covered in pounds of matted fur—so severe her ears couldn’t even be examined. Her once silky coat, now holding her hostage, so severe that urine, feces, debris—and fleas—were trapped deep within the matting. The veterinary team couldn’t even obtain a urine sample until after her medical grooming. Three pounds of matted fur was removed! Her back end was soaked with urine and feces. Her nails had curled and begun embedding into her paws. She was walking on her nails…instead of her feet.

Her bonded companion, Emily—her lifelong friend—was suffering in silence too. A 12-year-old Rhodesian Ridgeback, who had gone years without medical care.

She arrived with a severe ear infection—so advanced a tube had to be sutured into her ear to drain the infection. Her ears were filled with bacteria and yeast. Her skin is infected. Her eyes were inflamed and untreated.

Yet, both of these pups remained gentle, quiet, sweet and calm while they learned their first moments of care, love and help.

Two senior dogs.

Same home.

Same neglect.

Severely flea infested.

Left to suffer far too long.

They are safe now. We will help them and assure these sad seniors are on the road to health and happiness, together. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. And, especially, thank you from Emily and Renée. xo
