Dr. Pamela Hendrickson at ABCDE Animal Clinic examined Brooke, who is an 8.5-year-old, spayed Tricolor cutie. Brooke is overweight at 27.2 pounds and needs to lose 3 pounds, then have her weight reassessed. She was evaluated for a Grade 3 heart murmur 18 months ago, and on exam in rescue, she now has a Grade 3-4/6 murmur. She is scheduled to see a board-certified veterinary cardiologist. Her teeth are actually worn down, and she has periodontal disease. Brooke will need a dental with at least one extraction expected. Brooke also has drainage from her eyes and will be seeing an ophthalmologist. Some good news, her labs are within normal limits. Awe, sweet senior Brooke needs healing... we love adorable Brooke, everything will be on the upswing now. xo
