Tiramisu

Welcome beautiful Tiramisu!  Just a spoonful of sugar!  

She’s the fifth of our Baker’s Dozen!  So sweet, lovely, and gentle like a lady-finger – we could scoop her up with a spoon. Who doesn’t love tiramisu? This beauty is an eight-year-old, Tri-color female and is the mother of our Saffron, although they will be adopted separately.

Tiramisu, despite coming to us in neglected condition, has made an immediate transition to being part of her foster family. She loves being with the other dogs and wants to be near, but never underfoot.  Tiramisu is completely reliable with housetraining and tells us when she needs to go out. She is generally low key and quiet, though she does get excited when she sees dogs on TV. 

The biggest challenge Tiramisu faces is getting active enough to lose some weight. She’s just not that into her walks, so she’ll need help in the motivation department. Tiramisu seems to love the attention of any sort of grooming and her coat is now simply beautiful. She sleeps in her own bed and may be happiest on the couch with a chew bone.

Tiramisu, with her beautiful, expressive face, makes no secret that she loves this new rescued life!

🐶 Age: Tiramisu is 8 years old.

👍🏻 Weight: 30 lbs.

🐾 Circumstances: Breeder surrender, one of the Baker’s Dozen.

🐕 Temperament: A loving sweet girl whose tail never stops wagging!

❤️ Health: Tiramisu arrived in rough condition, flea infested and dirty. She was examined by Dr. Melanie Woch at VCA Lecanto Animal Hospital and most importantly Tiramisu is overweight at 30 pounds and needs to lose six pounds. She is also being treated for ear infections, a UTI, and hookworms. She has significant periodontal disease and a Grade 3/6 murmur. But once cardiology evaluates Tiramisu, she will be scheduled for spay and dental surgery. With her rabies vaccination and titers showing immunity on distemper and parvo, Tiramisu is now up to date with her core vaccinations and well on her way to good health.  CRF microchips all rescues.

🏡 Forever Home Requirements:

✔️ Preferably an at-home adult most of the day.

✔️ Fenced yard for roaming and playtime required. 

✔️ Commitment to daily walks/exercise to help maintain her health and weight reduction.

✔️ Another like-sized pup companion preferred.
