Reid

Now we have Mr. Reid, and why the formality, you might ask. Well, Mr. Reid is a gentleman, you see, so there’s a certain level of respect that just feels obligatory. Or maybe it should be Sir Reid, but he’s fine with merely, Reid.  This fellow is a Cavalier mixed with, well, we don’t know, but hey, it looks good on him. And he simply gets along with everyone and doesn’t demand too much, as a true statesman would.

Reid has good energy for a senior, and enjoys his walks and all he meets on them. He adjusted to his foster home in a land speed record and it was like he was always there.  Reid likes time in the yard but isn’t the hunter like one of his foster siblings, more a “live and let live” philosophy. And if you’re going in, so is he . . . always taking his cues from you.

This noble pup is a good eater and is fine uncrated when you must go. He came to us sleeping in a crate, and maybe it was his gentle demeanor, but he got himself invited into the big bed, with the perfect manners as you’d expect.

Reid’s favorite thing is, if you have a little time, sitting in your lap. Just a scratch or two makes it heaven, and at 15 pounds, he’s never too much. Now then, who couldn’t use a perfect gentleman around?

🐶 Age: Reid is 10 years old.

🐾 Circumstances: Owner surrender due to health.

🐕 Temperament: Possibly an Aristocrat!

❤️ Health: Reid was examined Dr. Rodrigo Rius at Palmer Ranch Animal Clinic. Reid weighs 15 pounds and his heart, ears, and eyes are all good. He is on medication for hypothyroidism. We’ve observed a small mass on his left lower eyelid, upon further evaluation, no treatment is required at this time; his forever family will keep monitoring it for changes. CRF microchips all rescues.

🏡 Forever Home Requirements:

✔️ Preferably an at-home adult most of the day in a quiet home.

✔️ Fenced yard for roaming and playtime required. 

✔️ Another like-sized pup companion required. 

✔️ Commitment to daily walks/exercise to help maintain her health.
