Oreo

Meet adorable Oreo the 9th of our Baker’s Dozen. He came into rescue and has been fostered together with #8 Graham, but now he is ready to step into to his own furever family. Oreo is just a quintessential favorite, pleasing to all types and palettes. Most popular cookie of all time, sweet Oreo is a handsome and perfect 8-year-old Tri-color gentleman. To dunk or not to dunk? That is our only question.

Like all his dozen brethren, Oreo lived a previously neglected life, and as such, he was very tentative about the promise of rescue. Happily, he has adjusted quite well and now looks and acts like the Cavaliers we know and love.

This sweet boy likes to snuggle with any clothes and shoes that are left out in his reach and LOVES building up little cozy (and comforting) collections on the couch.

Oreo is excellent on the leash, enjoys going on walks, and does not seem bothered by other humans or dogs on walks, but is not interested in meeting them either. But the same can’t be said for lizards - for better or for worse, he’s an expert lizard hunter! (look out, lizards!)

Oreo is still learning how to be a real dog but is opening up more and more each day and seeking affection and attention– he asks to be picked up to sit on your lap and loves to sleep in the bed with his humans. Sweet Oreo looks forward to his meals and he doesn’t have any interest in toys or fetch– just clothes, cuddles and ripping up cardboard.  

Most of all, he is now happy and soaking up the love and canoodles (and clothes) of his foster mom!

🐕 Temperament: A born-again velcro pups!

❤️ Health: Oreo has a Grade 5/6 cardio murmur and is on Vetmedin for a mildly enlarged heart. He has been fully vetted since his rescue and has had recent dental work and neuter surgery. He is up to date on all his vaccinations. CRF microchips all rescues.

✔️ Fenced yard for roaming and playtime preferred.
