Kane

Greet Kane. His story proves that the power of love is transformational. Though precious Kane’s initial circumstances were harrowing, this adorable tri-colored boy is now revitalized and happy thanks to his dedicated caretakers.

Charming Kane is very sociable and everyone who meets him is smitten. He loves to meet people, dogs and cats. If someone happens to stop their car (or golf cart) to say hi, Kane immediately wants to go for a ride. Beep, beep – let’s go. Adventure awaits.

Once Kane sees his leash and harness, he is ready for a walk. But a watchful eye is needed as he tends to pull when he sees someone or something of interest. He also likes to put things like grass, leaves or acorns in his mouth. Kane enjoys it when a stuffed toy is tossed so he can chase after it and play keep-away from his foster siblings. Being a Cavalier, Kane is confident he will catch that lizard, butterfly or bird flying overhead.  Gotta love his optimism.

Handsome Kane thrives with daily routines. Because Kane has limited hearing, he is beginning to learn hand signals. Smart Kane is learning quickly. After receiving a small treat Kane will settle into his crate and sleep quietly. What a sweet boy. 

Though his past was heartbreaking, Kane is a warrior and has a bright future. His wish is to find a loving home where he will be cherished. Will you be the one to give Kane a new ‘leash’ on life?

🐾 Circumstances: Owner surrender.

❤️ Health: Kane has been vetted. His allergies require ongoing maintenance including giving him subcutaneous injections, eye drops and eye gel. Weekly baths and ear cleaning are also part of his regiment. Kane is very accepting of his medical care.

✔️A household where someone is home most of the time.

✔️Commitment to a daily allergy routine and regular medical follow-up.

✔️Another friendly but confident dog for guidance and companionship.

✔️Willingness to provide additional training including the use of hand signals.

✔️A fenced yard for safe play and chasing critters.
