Emily

Greet happy-go-lucky Emily. This sweet girl has so much love to give. Being deaf, she is a bit timid and shy at first but is totally enjoying her new life. Emily loves dogs, cats, and children of all ages. Being close to her humans also tops her list of favorite things.

Beyond being adorable, one first thing you will notice about this Blenheim is that she is shorter in stature than most Cavies. No worries, Emily’s shorter legs don’t slow her down. However, stairs are difficult for her to maneuver. And she needs assistance getting into and out of things like beds and furniture.  

Walking on a leash seems to be new to a new adventure for Emily. She is an escape artist if her harness is not secured correctly so a careful eye will be needed until she learns the ropes. Emily is curious but will jump a bit when she sees something that startles her. To date that includes butterflies, shadows and tall grass that touches her belly. Silly girl.

Though Emily does not play with toys she loves snack time with her foster siblings. This fun activity includes grabbing carrots and running off to a dog bed to “crunch” and then snuggle together. How cute!

Go-with-the-flow Emily is quiet, well-mannered, eager to please and housebroken. Will you be the one to provide all the love she deserves?

🐾 Circumstances: Owner surrender due to allergies.

❤️ Health: Emily has been vetted and is in general good health for her age. She will need to be spayed and have a tooth extracted. 

CRF microchips all rescues.

🏡 Forever Home Requirements:

✔️ Experience with a deaf dog preferred.

✔️ Willingness to use hand signals.

✔️ A single story home with few stairs would be ideal.

✔️ A fenced yard for exploration and exercise.
