Camille

The sun shines brightly on our sweet Camille...

We didn't share many updates on our darling Camille over the summer. Cute-as-a-button Camille is one of our favorite pups and had an adopter waiting in the wings. But sadly, Camille didn’t have a wonderful summer like many of us, she wasn’t frolicking in the yard or splashing on the beach, poor Camille had health setbacks, and her pending adoption was put on hold indefinitely for further vetting and care.

Rescued from a shelter, sweet Camille was in rough shape when she arrived and instead of splashing in the pool and nibbling watermelon, she was visiting neurology after suffering several medical crises and seizure episodes. Ultimately, she was diagnosed with cavalier-prone Chiari-like malformation (CM) and syringomyelia (SM).

When started on specific medications, she became brighter, more alert, engaged and was following her foster mom around the house. Still an adorable couch potato, Camille is true to her affectionate self, always so sweet and loving. Despite having a “ruff” summer, Camille continues to be enchanting as always. Currently, Camille is doing well (and totally adorable) while we manage her SM, CM and overall wellness.

Camille beautifully basks in the sunshine and is ready for forever family AND sweetie-pie Camille is Adoptable again! She is happily enjoying life in her stroller, playing with her fur-siblings and excelling at being the most adorable pup. Her tail swings happily when greeting children, dogs, and cats. We love Camille and as always, we wish for her forever home, which we hope is at the other end of the sunbeams… Let's send her a lot of love and support! xo

🐾 Circumstances: Came to CRF via a Humane Society.

❤️ Health: Camille has been vetted. She has been diagnosed with Chiari-like malformation (CM) and syringomyelia (SM).

CRF microchips all rescues.

🏡 Forever Home Requirements:

✔️ An adult household with someone home most of the time.

✔️ A home with limited stairs and some non-slip carpeted areas.     

✔️ Willingness to use hand signals.

✔️ Maintaining a special low-fat diet.  

💸 Adoption Donation: $600
