Victoria

Victoria is one of seven traumatized Cavaliers rescued from a puppy mill operation in April.  The neglect these dogs suffered was obvious, what is less so is what the long-term behavioral effects might be.  Potential adopters need extraordinary sensitivity and patience with the needs of these pups that are at the extreme of rescue’s definition.

Victoria, whose name comes from the ancient Roman goddess of victory, is indeed having her day.  We’re happy to report that this Ruby girl is quickly leaving the old life behind and now romps with the other Cavaliers in her foster home.  Life now is good . . . very, very good.

This dear girl never had a name before, but now knows hers.  She’s doing well on so many fronts, from healing to potty training.  Victoria’s trust in her foster Mom seems nearly complete, as she follows her around endlessly, tail wagging, and has even become quite the snuggler.  And she’s taken to bestowing the sweetest Cavie kisses too.  Maybe that’s how she talked her way into the big bed.

There’s still more to learn, but we’re confident Victoria will master it all with the love, patience, and guidance from the right adopting home with room for a goddess.

👍🏻 Weight: A smaller girl at an ideal 12 lbs.

🐾 Circumstances: A puppy mill rescue.

🐕 Temperament: Just the dearest girl!

❤️ Health: Victoria came into rescue suffering from fleas, matts, infections and more.  Those have all been resolved and she recently had her spay.  There are upcoming visits scheduled for an eye examination, and dental surgery.  CRF microchips all rescues.

🏡 Forever Home Requirements:

✔️ Quiet, stable environment.  No small children.  Older children are okay.  

✔️ Still some patience and devotion to completing her training.

✔️ Safe and secured fenced yard.

✔️ Preferably a calm and like-sized companion dog.
