Dublin

Adoption Pending

Dublin is one of seven traumatized Cavaliers rescued from a puppy mill operation in April.  The neglect these dogs suffered was obvious, what is less so is what the long-term behavioral effects might be.  Potential adopters need extraordinary sensitivity and patience with the needs of these pups that are at the extreme of rescue’s definition.

Meet Dublin, one looker of a Blenheim Cavalier that is winning the day.  Those troubles are behind and he’s learning all the good things this crazy new existence has to offer.  To start, he lives in this huge space they call a house, not a tiny crate.  Talk about a change!  And Dublin is enthusiastic about everything in life now.  Playing with other dogs, kids, and even the cats.  He’s so happy now that sometimes he simply has to zoom through the house!

He's not a barker but will often let you know when he needs to go out as he’s getting this potty training down.  Dublin’s learned how to walk on a leash pretty well and it’s another favorite activity.  Who thought he’d ever be able to see the world?

Dublin’s still got things to learn, but he makes good eye contact and is showing he wants to please, so we’re confident this boy is going to be just fine.  You can almost hear him exclaiming “Carpe diem!”
