Burton & Liz

Ladies and Gentlemen, entering stage left, the comedy duo Burton and Liz.  At least if you have a certain expanded sense of humor.  Burton amazed all at his performance of jumping onto a table as he tested a new routine for his foster family, drawing ovations from some.  Not to be outdone, Liz showed off by jumping headfirst into a trash can, a pair of underwear in her mouth, leaving the assembled fur babies rolling in laughter. Okay, so some might characterize it as a bit mischievous.  Yet, it’s hard not to smile.  Just another way our rescues add so much to our lives.

Burton is this beautiful Ruby boy with gorgeous, soft brown eyes.  Liz has an elegant Black and Tan coat that begs to be stroked, which is just fine with her.  Both are well on their way to learning the new rules of the foster roost, which just might be a touch more structured than they knew.

Despite any antics, each of this bonded pair will win your heart effortlessly.  Just give them a moment in your lap as they melt, and then you will.  Burton is actually a very sweet, yet timid fellow who’s easily startled.  Stay home with him on the 4th of July. 

Liz loves a wrestling match with her toys and joining Burton for a good walk.  They get along well with their foster pups and sleep in their crate, though likely would be ecstatic in the big bed. If you’ve got what it takes to keep up with this pair of comedians, life will be a barrel of fun, laughter, and love.

🐶 Age: Burton is 6 or 7, and Liz is 9 or 10 years old.

👍🏻 Weight: Both at 20 lbs.

🐾 Circumstances: Owner preceded them over the Rainbow Bridge.

🐕 Temperament: A mischievous and fun-loving pair of cuddly Cavies.

❤️ Health: Burton came in with an ear infection and clogged ear duct, all being addressed.  He also has a trick left knee, called a medial patellar luxation, which gives him a skip in his walk sometimes.  Liz is being treated for  a UTI and a small eyelid growth.  She has an advanced heart murmur and is on Vetmedin medication. 

🏡 Forever Home Requirements:

✔️ Preferably an at-home adult most of the day.   

✔️ Safe and secured fenced yard.

✔️ Dedication to their continuing veterinarian care, especially a cardiac specialist.  

✔️ Commitment to daily walks/exercise to help maintain their health.
