Buddy

Maybe it’s just the season, but our sweet Buddy reminds us of Buddy the Elf! Either of them could have been credited with that line from the movie, "I think you're beautiful and I feel really warm when I am around you and my tongue swells up."

Both have a famously warm and loving personality and are just always excited to see  you. Buddy might be a perfect therapy dog, as he seems to sense any discomfort and oozes empathy with a rescuing cuddle.

This big Blenheim boy has been called a “gentle giant” and has a cute “kissing spot” atop his head. He’s oh-so-adaptable (and adoptable!) and ready for anything, especially trips to Home Depot. 

This fellow loves people, but especially his people. He’ll always be close behind and wants that nearness to include the big bed.  Buddy’s easy-going ways include walking well on a leash, being a grazing eater, and getting along with other pups.  And he’s a good listener too, coming when called.  He likes his toys, playing ball, but most of all those special snuggles. His foster Mom calls him a “Love sponge.”

Stealing another movie line, we’re imagining our (your?) Buddy saying, "First, we'll make snow angels for two hours, then we'll go ice skating, then we'll eat a whole roll of Tollhouse cookie-dough as fast as we can, and then we'll snuggle."

🐕 Temperament: One big fun guy!

❤️ Health: Buddy’s still undergoing his vetting, so we’ll know more soon.  He’s a big Cavalier/cockalier, probably still could lose pound or two.  CRF microchips all rescues.

🏡 Forever Home Requirements:

✔️ Preferably an at-home adult.

✔️ A fenced yard to play in is a must.

✔️ No young children.

🚩If you do not check ALL of the above requirements, your application will not pass the screening process for consideration. We do not compromise on these requirements as we feel they are essential to a successful adoption with Buddy.
