St. Augustine

Introducing Clove, the 4th of our Bakers Dozen. Flavorful and evergreen, clove is robust and pairs well with other rich, fragrant elements – cinnamon, allspice, basil citrus peel, star anise! Like her namesake, our Clove is steeped in depth, personality and warms up slowly, but once simmered in your trust, she is happy to be in the company of others.

In her foster home Clove craves attention, likely a transition issue, but sit on the couch and she’ll be right by your side. She stares into your eyes with her beautiful brown eyes and looks for an opportunity to plant a few kisses on your face.

This girl is getting along well with her foster siblings and walks well on a leash. Clove sleeps at night in a comfy crate next to the bed and seems to love being that close. The more she acclimates, the more she is a simple, easy going gal.

We’re so pleased you can look forward to a future filled with it, Clove!

🐶 Age: Clove is 8 years old.

👍🏻 Weight: 23 lbs.

🐾 Circumstances: Breeder surrender, one of the Baker’s Dozen.

🐕 Temperament: A born-again velcro pup!

❤️ Health: Clove came with fleas, so she had an immediate bath and flea treatment. She weighs 23 pounds and needs to lose 1-2 pounds. At her first exam with Dr. Ashley Siders at St Johns Veterinary Hospital, Clove, who apparently had broken her jaw previously, has severe dental disease with multiple loose and broken teeth (most likely needing quite a few extractions). She has hookworms and a UTI and treatment has been started. Clove is being scheduled for spay surgery, will need a rabies vaccination, and we are awaiting titers results for distemper and parvo. CRF microchips all rescues.

Happy healing, sweet Clove!  We love you.  XO
